New Photos Below:
Sallie and I and two very dear friends went on a recent trip to Central Mexico. Here are some photos from those eight beautiful days in San Miguel de Allende, Dolores Hidalgo and Guanajuato.
A roadside antique dealer on the road between Dolores Hidalgo and San Miguel de Allende. Some beautiful 18th and 19th century stuff here.
Barranca Street. Casa Schuck (highly recommended) is just down the hill. Imagine a town of 100,00 people and no traffic lights. The whole time we were there we never saw an accident! Beautiful cobble-stone streets (that give the cabbies lower back trouble) and 16th Century Spanish architecture. The perfect place to live, year round.
A view of San Miguel de Allende from the rooftop of Casa Schuck.
Old World architecture in Guanajuato
Guanajuato. Old silver mining town and geographic center of Mexico.
Sallie and precious friends, New Years Eve, Tio Lucas Restaurant, San Miguel de Allende
Me, thoughtful pose.
Lynn and Gavito, New Years. A terribly cute couple.
Gavito having breakfast the morning after (New Years Day).
Sallie and stone kitty, on flagstone steps outside the french doors, Casa Schuck, San Miguel de Allende.
Me, pipe and fire. Ahh yes.
Hmmm. I wonder what Bill Travis is doing right now.
